Things to remember:

 

  • All the skills developed here are what you are supposed to have as an engineer. There are no non-essential skills.
  • You will need these skills irrespective of the nature of the job you will take up in future. For instance, component identification is necessary whether you are into production, QA, design, stores and purchase, documentation, or service etc.
  • You will learn to balance your regular academics and these skill development activities. This presents you the opportunity to improve your time management skills.
  • You will be in a full-fledged work environment, and will learn both technical and non-technical, and inter-personal skills as well. This will prepare you for the demands of any workplace and make you not just job-ready, but CAREER-READY.
  • Your focus is on skill development. The products that you manufacture are just a medium for knowledge transfer and skill development.
